SHOP NEWS

We first learned about Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary when they contacted us about partnering with them for their 4th Annual Fundraising Gala. It turns out that Meredith had actually tattooed a Luvin Arms resident, Tito the cow, on a client who advocates for animal rights, just last year. Tito was rescued from the Veal industry and was just 10-days old when he was first brought to Luvin Arms. Malnourished and underweight - he spent his first week in intensive care. Thanks to volunteers and donations, Tito has since made a full recovery and now lives his days frolicking in the Luvin Arms pastures with other rescued cows.

And that's just one story - head over to LuvinArms.org to learn more about all of their current residents and the many ways you can get involved!

As raw vegans ourselves, Luvin Arms mission is close to our hearts so we designed a special Vegan Sticker SUPER Pack with 11 large, high-quality, vinyl stickers to be auctioned off to the highest bidder at this year's gala. And to keep the love going, we have stocked a limited-run of the Vegan Sticker SUPER Pack in the Terrarium Tattoo Store so we can donate a portion of all the sales to Luvin Arms animal sanctuary directly. Your purchase helps them continue their work rehabilitating abused and neglected animals.

You can purchase all 11 stickers for $29 or individually for $3 each.

The Tomahawk was the Native American emblem of warfare - symbolized two sides of a coin: war and peace. A council ritual was associated with the tomahawk. When a war council started a tomahawk, painted red, was placed on the ground in front of the chief. If, after deliberation, it was decided to raise a war party the war chief would raise the red tomahawk and rouse the warriors with war songs and dances. To bury a tomahawk meant peace - to dig it up, meant to declare the most deadly warfare. Hence the phrase "to bury the hatchet" in reference to the settlement of disputes. Tomahawks were used in important ceremonies, such as signing a peace treaty. Ceremonial tomahawks were elaborately decorated with paint and feathers, and often had a hollow stem fixed at the end with a pipe bowl for smoking. — H.H.

This Tattoo was specific to the Client's Astrological Chart... Aquarius: The symbol for Aquarius is the Water Bearer, symbolically and eternally giving life and spiritual food to the world. The water from the vessel washes away the past, leaving room for a fresh, new start. The sign of Aquarius is forward-looking and growth-oriented. Concerned with equality and individual freedom, Aquarius seeks to dispense its knowledge, and its vision of equality and individuality, to all. The symbol on the vessel is Uranus: In Astrology, the energies of Uranus are electric and crammed with change. Uranus is forward-looking. It balks at tradition, and celebrates originality and individuality. Uranus is associated with technology, innovation, discovery, and all that is progressive. — H.H.

This freehand tattoo is all about the ritual... we wanted to combine Occult imagery, specific to client's request, arranged in a Tarot card style format. Each element on it's own has it's own symbolism and significance, and when combined, we make Magick... happen! —H.H.
